What Did You Do Over Break?

Restful, active, a new experience, or same-old, this winter break was different for all of our students. Here is what a couple students had to say about their time off:

How was this winter break different from the rest?

“I was able to travel to New Zealand with Professor Nola to explore Sustainable Transformation in the
country. We were able to visit both the North and South Islands and a variety of cities. Some of my
favorite activities included visiting Queenstown, kayaking on the Milford Sound, hiking Rob Roy’s
Glacier Trail and the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, visiting the Waitangi Treaty Grounds in Paihia, and
driving across the 90 mile beach.” - Edith Guardado Martinelli, Class of 2019

Do you have a favorite experience from winter break?

“Just after New Years Day, a large group of friends and I took a trip to Deep Creek Lake to spend some time exploring the mountainous landscape, skiing at a local resort, and enjoying one another’s company. It was refreshing and relaxing to say the least!” - Edith Guardado Martinelli, Class of 2019
