"I learned things I could never have learned in the classroom."
"Studying abroad in Italy this summer was one of the most educational experiences I've had, and I learned things I could never have learned in the classroom. I had the opportunity to travel to five different places all in under three weeks. This face-paced life allowed me to see and do as much as I could in a short amount of time, making it totally worth every cent I paid for the trip. I learned so much about culture and about people in general from all the interacts I had. Seeing many historic sites was really beneficial to me and I also benefited from students from a wide variety of majors being on the same trip.
Traveling with the school allowed me to see and do things I would never have been able to do on my own. It was so nice and relaxing knowing that all the hotels, trains, and busses were already planned out and booked for me. This way, I could just focus on enjoying the moment and not worrying about the regular stresses of traveling. One of the highlights was going to the island of Capri, where Dennis booked us a private boat to take us to and from the island. He took us to a store where they custom made shoes for you, so you picked out the shape and colors and someone made them right there! Things like this I would never have done on my own.
After the trip, I know a lot more about the world in general. I appreciate things in life a lot more than I ever had before. I was also able to stay in Europe for a few weeks afterwards and encourage everyone else to do the same!"
